Dollhouses

Did you have a handmade dollhouse as a kid? My grandpa made me an adorable Victorian one when I was really young, it wasn't ever finished, I don't know if he planned on finishing it with me when I was older or if he didn't have the money to finish it. Unfortunately, he's gone now so I can't ask him what I'm supposed to do about this dollhouse.
I decided that as a tribute to my grandpa I'd finish this dollhouse finally. Well, I went down into the basement with Andrew, and found the dollhouse...it looked like someone played football with it since it's been down there. I mean, I played rough with it when I was a kid, there's like three windows still intact, but now the roof is almost torn off, the shingles are all messed up, it's horrible. I almost started crying when Andrew took the bag off it, it was so bad.
There was a rip in the bag and it's full of dead ladybugs. :/ Tomorrow Andrew and I are going out to the movies, maybe he'll buy me some things for it. We went to Hobby lobby today, but it's Andrew's birthday (big 22) and I didn't want him to buy me anything. I did manage to cut my middle finger open on a piece of glass as I walked by it and we had to run out of the store with me scrunching my finger in my shirt, I'm sure they though I had stolen something. It was gushing blood though, I had to wash it with hand sanitizer and wrap it in a napkin, and it only just stopped bleeding when we got home. :O It was really bad. Good thing I was wearing a black shirt otherwise I would have looked like a murder scene.
I do, however have plans for the dollhouse. Perhaps after tomorrow, or even in the afternoon, I'll bring it upstairs and wipe it down. Then I'll take the roof and the front steps off, they need attention first. After that, who knows. I'll probably sand it down and paint it. :) My grandpa did a seriously good job of gluing it together, I hope I don't break it apart accidentally!
I'm seriously thinking of either doing a semi-regular update sort of thing, or possibly starting a new blog for this dollhouse. That's how serious I am about this. If you managed to get through this wall of text this far, please let me know what you would prefer. :)
